DISPLAY DEVICE WITH TOUCH PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with a touch panel for enabling a user to perform prescribed input operation without making a display part dirty by effectively utilizing a display area in the display part including a switch operating part. SOLUTION: This display device with a touch panel has a touch panel display 21 controlled by a CPU 11 and is composed of an LCD display part 8 and a touch sensor sheet 9. The LCD display part 8 has an image display area and a peripheral area around the image display area. Switch marks are displayed in the peripheral area at the time of function selection processing. First and second input switch groups 9a and 9b for press operation are arranged at the right and left, and the top and bottom of a position corresponding to the switch marks in the touch sensor sheet 9. At the time of function selection processing, characters indicating functions selected by operations of the first and second input switch groups 9a and 9b are displayed at positions corresponding to the input switch groups 9a and 9b in the image display area 8a of the LCD display part 8.
