Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generation system capable of generating a realistic and high-quality image such as a water surface object or the like with small amount of data and small processing load, and to provide a program and an information storage medium. SOLUTION: A configuration point calculating part 116 for calculating the coordinates of a configuration point of an object sets sampling points (i, j) on the basis of a coordinate value parameter i in an r direction and a coordinate parameter j in a θ direction about a given section obtained by performing m division of a polar coordinates system in the r direction and n division of the polar coordinates system in the θ direction, calculates first coordinate values and second coordinate values of the sampling point (i, j) on the basis of the coordinate value parameter i in the r direction and the coordinate value parameter j in the θ direction, and defines third coordinate values of the sampling points (i, j) at time t on the basis of a periodic function with the coordinate value parameter i in the r direction, the coordinate value parameter j in the θ direction and a time parameter t as an argument. An image generation part 120 specifies the coordinates of configuration points of the object at the time t constituted of a plurality of sections including the given section as a set on the first, second and third coordinate values of the sampling points.
