DRUM TYPE WASHING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the laundry from being caught in a drum lid when the drum lid is closed. SOLUTION: A plastic molded extension member 230 is attached to the rear surface of a front lid body 202 constituting the drum lid 200, and the length L from an extended part 230b of the extension member 230 to an engagement pawl 205 is secured to be at least a prescribed length. The upper surface of the extended part 230b is a slope 230c inclined inward of the drum toward the distal end. When the drum lid is closed, the front lid body 202 is closed prior to a rear lid body 204. At the time, the extension member 230 pushes in and draws in the laundry stored inside the drum, so that the laundry is prevented from being caught in the engagement pawl 205. Furthermore, the laundry clasped between the extension member 230 and the rear surface of the rear lid body 204 can easily slide off along the slope 230c.
