FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of preventing voltage drop to improve power generation efficiency. SOLUTION: This fuel cell 1 is composed by forming a layered product S by stacking a plurality of unit fuel cells 15 each formed by facing a separator with a fuel electrode 2 and an oxidizer electrode 4 arranged on one surface of a solid polymer film 16 and the other surface thereof, respectively, and with a fuel gas passage 19 formed on the one surface to a separator 21 with an oxidizer gas passage 20 formed on the other surface, and used for generating power by being supplied with the fuel gas and the oxidizer gas, and by mounting terminal members 33 at both ends of the layered product S. Each terminal member 33 is provided with: a combustor 24 comprising a catalyst and a supporting base material; gas supply passages 22 and 23 for supplying the fuel gas and the oxidizer gas to the combustor 24; and valves 26 and 27 for controlling supplies of the fuel gas and the oxidizer gas.
