REACTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light and inexpensive reactor for contributing to decrease in the weight of an air-conditioner outdoor machine. SOLUTION: A laminated E-type core 1 and a laminated I-type core 2 are provided; E-type cores 1a, 1b in which core yoke dimensions differ are laminated alternately so that the outer lamination surface of the laminated E-type core 1 will not butt against the laminated I-type core 2 becomes an irregular shape; an air gap 3 for adjusting magnetic saturation characteristics is formed between a center magnetic leg 1c of the laminated E-type core 1 and the laminated I-type core 2, arranged opposite to the center magnetic leg 1c; and a coil 4 in which an insulating material 5 for electrically insulating the coil 4 and the core is wound around the center magnetic leg is wound. As a result, the function of the core as a coil heatsink increases, a core having small volume can be adopted, and the wire diameter of the coil wound inside a core window can be thinned.
