METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR TRACKING MOVING BODY, RECORDING MEDIUM THEREFOR, AND MOVING BODY TRACKING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracking method which is highly precise even under the condition that is not good at a specific tracking method. SOLUTION: A moving body tracking apparatus performs an image input procedure of selecting a frame from a moving picture, an area specification receiving procedure of acquiring an area to be tracked from a storage means, a feature point tracking procedure of extracting a feature point from the frame and calculating a 1st object area to be tracked, a color information tracking procedure of extracting color information from the frame and calculating a 2nd object area to be tracked, an area position evaluating procedure of deciding that at least one of the 1st object area and the 2nd object area is corrected when the difference between information regarding the 1st object area and the 2nd object area is larger than a 1st threshold, and an area position correcting procedure of correcting at least one of the 1st object area and the 2nd object area according to a decision result showing that the area is corrected.
