DEVELOPING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus wherein a toner sealing performance is secured and also the increase of a driving torque is prevented in the toner sealing part of a toner carrier, and the electrification of the toner and the sticking toner quantity are appropriately obtained in an image part, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the developing apparatus. SOLUTION: Regarding the developing apparatus provided with the toner carrier which comes in contact with an image carrier on which an electrostatic latent image is formed, and also, which rotates at the time of forming an image in order to stick the toner on the electrostatic latent image and visualize the image, a toner supply member which is arranged in contact with the toner carrier, and also, which supplies the toner to the toner carrier, a toner control member which controls the quantity of the toner sticking on the toner carrier and forms a thin toner layer on the toner carrier, and a press-contact part arranged at each non-image end part of the toner carrier so as to prevent the toner sticking on the toner carrier from scattering, and forming a sealing structure at the press-contact part by interposing grease, the surface shape of a part coming in contact with the end sealing structure of the toner carrier is provided with regular pitches in the circumferential direction of the toner carrier.
