Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a presently attempted road surface temperature reduction technology wherein a reduction in the strength of lower layer road bed/road floor due to the penetration of stored water and a reduction and inability in function due to a variation in the level of the stored water caused by the supply of capillary water to the surface layer occur, the road surface temperature reduction is performed by considering only a heat of vaporization from the surface layer, and also a storage structure is difficult to integrate since the storage structure also forms a special space, and construction cost becomes high. SOLUTION: (1) A hydrophilic surface layer 4 and a hydrophilic base layer 5 are installed. (2) Crushed stones 6 are installed, and water is stored in the spaces thereof to supply the water to the hydrophilic surface layer 4 by capillary rise. (3) A supply water 2 is led from the outside therein, drained in a drain facility 3, and the storage water and a flowing water are held. (4) A water shielding membrane 1 is installed between the crushed stones 6 and a lower layer rod bed 11 to prevent the storage water from leaking. Also, in a road longitudinal direction, water shielding membranes are installed at specified intervals according to the slope to hold the level of the storage water at a specified level.
