METHOD FOR PRODUCING CARBON MOLDED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-quality carbon molded product having small difference in strength and thickness by using granular carbonized product and paper. SOLUTION: The method for producing the molded product by mixing the granular carbonized product with a paper slurry obtained by opening the paper in the presence of water to provide a molding material, and molding the molding material by pressurizing and dehydrating comprises previously measuring the water content of the granular carbonized product before mixing with the paper slurry, calculating and setting the whole water content in the molding material by taking the paper amount in the paper slurry, the mixed amount of the granular carbonized product and the measured water content of the granular carbonized product into account so that the formulated proportion of the dry weight of the granular carbonized product, the dry weight of the paper and the water weight may be constant, and formulating each materials so as to almost agree with the set value.
