Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material mainly composed of a magnetite and improved in heat resistance, water resistance, heat conductivity characteristic and electromagnetic wave absorption characteristic than the current magnetite manufactured by a wet method or a dry method. SOLUTION: This iron oxide composite particle is a three-component one comprising not less than 45 mass% magnetite (Fe3O4), and the balance a wustite (FeO) and a metal iron (αFe). This particle can be manufactured by a method in which a hematite (Fe2O3) having an average particle diameter of 0.1-5.0 μm is reduced at a temperature of 500-700°C while keeping a fluidized condition and then rapidly cooled.
