PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel that prevents the loss in luminance and improves the contrast, by shielding the reset light generated in a discharge cell which has not been selected. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel comprises a first substrate and a second substrate arranged opposite to each other, address electrodes formed on the second substrate, partitions dividing a plurality of discharge cells disposed in a space between the first and second substrates, a fluorescent layer formed in each discharge cell, and first electrodes and second electrodes formed on the first substrate. Each of the first electrodes and each of the second electrodes are constituted of a bus electrode, formed in a direction of crossing the address electrode and a transparent electrode formed protuberantly to the center of each discharge cell from the bus electrode and is so disposed that a pair thereof face each other.
