STORAGE BOX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage box which can be made small-sized and moreover which facilitates storage operation. SOLUTION: An optical drop cable 14 and an optical cable 17 are led in from a cable pull-in part 13. The optical drop cable 14 and optical cable 17 are connected at a connection part 16. An excess-length part 17c of the optical cable 17 is wound and stored in a storage space 18. A plug-type optical connector 22 and a socket type optical connector 23 are connected which have the mechanical splicing function of holding the optical drop cable 14 and optical fable 17, while making end surfaces of optical fibers exposed by removing the coatings of the coated optical fibers in a state of abutting against internal optical fibers, indwelling in advance in the optical drop cable 14 and optical cable 17.
