| Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, equipped with a cleaning device which can swing along the axis of rotation of an image carrier and enables the blade of the cleaning device to be replaced easily during maintenance. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has an image carrier and the cleaning device composed of a blade unit which has a blade for cleaning the surface of the image carrier and is removable; and a cleaning device body with the blade unit attached thereto, wherein the cleaning device body is provided with a 1st connection member and a 2nd connection member which abut against both ends of the blade unit, respectively. The 1st connection member which abuts against one end is provided between a cam for swinging the blade along the axis of rotation of the image carrier and the blade unit and transmits a swinging force for swinging the blade unit from the cam, and the 2nd connection member which abuts against the other end that energizes the other end of the blade unit by an elastic member.
