Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized optical inclination sensor capable of detecting a wide angle, taking into consideration that a change of such the wide angle as ±90° is not detected in the constitution of an optical inclination sensor in the prior art, and that device constitution is required to be large for detecting a wide inclination angle which does not to allow mounting on mobile electronic equipment or the like, where a wide inclination angle is necessary to be measured. SOLUTION: This optical inclination sensor is provided with a case for shielding light from the outside, a light-emitting element for emitting light toward the inside of the case, a light-receiving element for detecting luminous energy of the light emitted from the light-emitting element in the inside of the case, a rotary shaft provided along a direction substantially orthogonal to the center axis of the light-emitting element and the light-receiving element, a luminous energy separation means rotation-supported onto the rotating shaft, taking an attitude in vertical-direction at all times, and for separating luminous energy emitted from the light-emitting element to reach the photoreception element, in response to the degree of inclination of the case, and a light-shielding member provided in a case inner wall to shield the leaked light reaching the light-receiving element from a clearance between the luminous energy separation means and the case inner wall.
