Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum reducing thermal decomposition apparatus that improves a thermal decomposition treatment effect on matter to be treated. SOLUTION: The vacuum reducing thermal decomposition apparatus, in which a treatment furnace 1 shaped to a slender hollow cylinder is rotated in a substantially horizontal attitude under a vacuum reducing atmosphere to feed a charge of matter 2 to be treated to a discharge side along a helical groove 3 in an inner circumference as effecting thermal decomposition treatment, has in the helical groove a plurality of projections 4 spaced along the circumference of the helical groove to divide the flow of the treated matter.
