Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing a high-purity (meth)acrylic ester represented by formula (V) easily and efficiently in an industrial scale. SOLUTION: In the production method, an alkali metal (meth)acrylate represented by formula (I) (wherein R1is H or a methyl group; and M is an alkali metal) is reacted with a carbonyl compound represented by formula (II): X-R2[wherein X is a halogen; and R2is a group represented by formula (III) (wherein m is 1 or 2) or a group represented by formula (IV) (wherein R3is -CH=CH-, -CH=CH-CH2-, -CH2-CH=CH-, or the like)] to produce a (meth)acrylic ester represented by formula (V) (wherein R1and R2are each the same as above).
