Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material for heat resistant coating free from occurrence of crack at drying, and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the coating material for heat resistant coating by mixing inorganic powder, an inorganic fiber, an inorganic binder, and water, the viscosity is lowered to be controlled to ≤200 dPa×s by the addition of a dispersant and is increased to be finally controlled to 250-300 dPa×s by the addition of an organic binder. The organic binder is one or more kinds selected from methyl cellulose and polyvinyl alcohol. The dispersant is one or more kinds selected from polycarboxylic acid type high polymer and acrylic polymer. Swelling clay is mixed when necessary. The quantity of the organic binder to be added to water content in the coating material is 0.3-5 wt.%.
