Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce total weight of a cheek plate, in regard to the cheek plate for a rigid structure of a vehicle seat, the seat including such a cheek plate and a method for manufacturing such a cheek plate. SOLUTION: The cheek plate for the rigid structure of the vehicle seat is constituted by a rigid plate having a central portion 12 formed on either side by first and second side portions 10, 11. The central portion 12 has at least one first groove portion 13, and the first side portion 10 extends to a side end portion 10a folded over and fixed to the first groove portion 13 so as to form at least one first box portion 14.
