Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plant-raising biodegradable base material for cell seedlings having such high mechanical strength as not to be disintegrable in planting seedlings or making a work, and /or such a plant-raising biodegradable base material to be suitably used for greening rooftop, face-of-slope, etc. SOLUTION: The plant-raising biodegradable base material is obtained by compounding a culture soil base with thermofusible biodegradable fiber A 0.5-2 mm in length, 20-300 in aspect ratio, ≤15 wt.% in moisture content and ≤6/cm in the number of crimps and thermofusible biodegradable fiber B ≤15 mm but longer than 2 mm, 20-1,000 in aspect ratio, ≤15 wt.% in moisture content and ≤6/cm in the number of crimps.
