Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device and image pickup and display method for displaying a more focused point of a photographed image for a user. SOLUTION: An object and a range finding frame 32 are superimposed and displayed on an LCD when photographing the object. Position information on the focused range finding frame is preserved on a RAM 17, for example, after a color change or the like of the focused frame. When photographing the focused frame of a photographed image, an image having a proximate focused region is preferentially magnified and displayed on the LCD 31, so that a more focused region can be displayed for a user. Further, mutually proximate focused frames can also be simultaneously magnified and displayed on the LCD 31, so that even if there are a plurality of focused frames, the number of steps of an image to be magnified and displayed for the user can be reduced.
