Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereophonic processing apparatus and method in which a sense of stereophonic localization can be effectively given to sound information inputted from a sound signal reader 5. SOLUTION: An acoustic coordinate controller 1 outputs spatial coordinates to which a sound source is to be localized, as time sequential information, a coordinate fluctuation adder 2 adds "fluctuation" to the sound source coordinates outputted from the sound source coordinate controller 1, and a sound signal feature amount arithmetic unit 3 operates a sound signal feature amount to provide a sense of localization so as to listen to sound from the direction of the sound source coordinates inputted from the coordinate fluctuation adder. A sound signal feature amount adjuster 4 then adjusts a feature amount of the sound signal inputted from the sound signal reader according to the sound signal feature amount operated by the sound signal feature amount arithmetic unit 3.
