OPTICAL PICKUP AND OPTICAL DISK APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup and an optical disk apparatus in which light emission intensity of a laser light source can be easily adjusted when one side of laser light source is used for both of recording and reproducing and the other side of the laser light source is used for only reproducing. SOLUTION: The optical pickup has an output level adjusting means with which when a first light source performs both of recording and reproducing and a second light source performs only reproducing, an output level based on a light receiving level of the second light source which is converted by a light receiving sensor 102 controlling light emission intensity of the laser beam emitted from the light source 1 is set within the range of an output level based on a light receiving level of the first light source.
