Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a laminated phase difference film where an inclined oriented birefringent layer whose inclined orientation direction is controlled is laminated on a negative biaxial birefringent film without arranging an oriented film additionally. SOLUTION: The birefringent oriented film is manufactured by irradiating the surface of the biaxial birefringent film with polarized light and changing only the surface of the film so as to have anisotropy different from the inside. If the liquid crystal layer of a bar-shaped liquid crystalline compound is directly formed on the surface of the birefringent oriented film irradiated with polarized light, the inclined oriented birefringent layer inclined according to the anisotropy of the surface of the birefringent oriented film is laminated, whereby the laminated phase difference film is provided.
