Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for judging a collided object in a vehicle, which apparatus can surely judge the collision of a pedestrian with a small amount of calculation without a detection time lag even at any collision speed, and can quickly cope with the situations even when the specifications of a front bumper, etc. are variously altered. SOLUTION: A main judgement and selection section 21 selects the large signal among the acceleration signals from first and second acceleration sensors 10, 11 as the signal to be processed in a main judgement and processing section 22, and selects the signal from other sensors as the signal to be processed in a safety judging and processing section 23. The main judgement and processing section 22 calculates the ratio of the spring-back to the deformation in the state within a certain range of the deformation speed, and judges "ON" when the ratio exceeds a first threshold value of the ratio. The safety judging and processing section 23 carries out the judgement of "ON" based on the deformation speed, the deformation acceleration, the amount of the deformation or the ratio of the spring-back to the deformation. A judgement and output section 24 outputs the judgement of "ON" when both of the main judgement and processing section 22 and the safety judging and processing section 23 have judged "ON".
