Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for clarifying water polluted with organic compounds in which electric power consumption is small, which produces no poisonous ozone gas, has a long life and light maintenance burdens and further can be provided with sufficient illumination and which is compact and is low in cost. SOLUTION: The apparatus for clarifying water polluted with organic compounds has a treatment tank 12 which is formed of a transparent member and makes water that is polluted with organic compounds and is to be treated pass therethrough, a plurality of compartment passages 14 which are formed by partitioning the inside of the treatment tank 12 with transparent partition walls 24 with vacant insides and holding photocatalyst silica gel 26 between partition walls 24 and through which water to be treated can pass while coming into contact with the photocatalyst silica gel 26, a plurality of purple light emitting diodes 16 which are mounted on light emitting diode substrates 32 respectively disposed in the treatment tank 12 and each partition wall 24 toward each compartment passage 14 and which irradiate the photocatalyst silica gel 26 in each compartment passage 14 with light from both sides and a heat pipe 18 which is disposed so that a part comes into contact with the light emitting diode substrate 32 of the purple light emitting diodes 16 in the partition wall 24 and another part comes into contact with water to be treated outside the partition wall 24 and which can be cooled with water to be treated.
