FLUORESCENT LAMP, PHOSPHOR MEMBRANE FORMING METHOD FOR FLUORESCENT LAMP, AND BACK LIGHT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a phosphor membrane for preventing occurrence of unevenness in luminance and chromaticity even for a long fluorescent lamp. SOLUTION: A coated membrane of phosphor slurry 2 is formed up to half in the axial direction of a pipe wall by absorbing phosphor slurry up to half of pipe length in a glass lamp tube from a first end of the glass lamp tube 1. Next, a coated membrane of phosphor slurry 2 is formed up to remaining half in the axial direction of the pipe wall by absorbing phosphor slurry up to half of pipe length in the glass lamp tube from a second end of the glass lamp tube. The coated membranes of phosphor slurry on the pipe wall are dried to form the phosphor membrane over the whole length of the pipe wall of the glass lamp tube. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
