APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ACCIDENT PREVENTIVE WARNING DUE TO TRAFFIC DISORDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce accident occurrence frequency in a traffic stream by speedily deciding occurrence of traffic disorder that causes an accident, and issuing a warning signal to vehicles which follow. SOLUTION: A plurality of traffic counter 1a-1d for measuring passing vehicles are installed at planned intervals, along with a rod at a spot where traffic disorder occurs to easily incur a traffic accident; the back of a point where the first traffic counter 1a in a view from the direction of moving of each vehicle is divided into four blocks at each interval, corresponding to the install interval of the traffic counter 1a and furthermore; a plurality of auto-emission delineators 2a-2d are installed for each block, respectively. A passing vehicle for measuring signal is inputted from each traffic counter to a delineator control board 4, to detect the time of passing of each passing vehicle and its passing speed, the presence/the non-presence of warning issuing state, is decided by the number of passing vehicles and their passing speeds that cause traffic disorder, specified in advance, from the detected number of passing vehicles and the detected passing speeds; and if presence of the warning issuing state is decided, an auto-emission delineator installed in an upstream side block of the traffic counter at the spot where the traffic disorder occurs, is controlled to be on.
