Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video monitoring system with detection accuracy sufficient to issue an alarm by monitoring video of a camera to automatically detect abnormal actions and motions and actions in violations of rules of a target to be monitored. SOLUTION: A video monitoring method divides an entire video screen of a monitoring camera into m×m pieces of blocks, calculates moving amounts within each block, finds out the block with the maximum moving amount in the video screen, detects that the blocks with the maximum moving amount in a frame and the next frame have a temporal chain relationship with each other, and detects a chain block pattern formed by a series of continuous temporal chain blocks along with the transitions of the frames. The method then compares the block pattern to a normal pattern of the target to be monitored and issues an alarm signal if the block pattern does not match with the normal pattern, and otherwise, uses a moving vector to terminate one cycle of monitoring operations.
