PURIFIER FOR POOL WATER IN PRESSURE SUPPRESSION CHAMBER IN REACTOR CONTAINMENT VESSEL IN NUCLEAR PLANT OF BOILING WATER TYPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purifier for pool water in a pressure suppression room in a nuclear power plant which makes it possible to reduce the amount and time for the work required for the installation, operation and putting-back of devices and exposure doses during purification work. SOLUTION: The pool water sucked by a submersible pump 5 located temporarily in the pool water in a pool 2 included in the pressure suppression room 1 in a reactor pressure vessel of a nuclear power plant and the pool water containing a large quantity of insoluble suspended substances sucked from the bottom of the pool 2 of the pressure suppression room 1 through a sucker 9 by a pump 8 of a diaphragm type located temporarily in a cat wall 4 in the pressure suppression room 1 are merged by a three-way valve 14 and then are transported to a filter 7 located in the pool water in the pool 2 of the pressure suppression room 1, the insoluble suspended substances in the pool water are filtered off by the filter 7 and the pool water purified by the filter 7 is put back to the pool 2 in the pressure suppression room 1.
