SELF-PROPELLED AUTOMATIC DOOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled automatic door with a simple structure, capable of detecting its slips. SOLUTION: The self-propelled automatic door, which opens or closes with its driving wheels running on a door rail laid at the door opening side in the door open/close direction by means of a motor used as a door drive, is provided with standard door position detectors 9, 12, 13 for detecting the relative position of the door 2 to the door rail 3, a reference door position detector 9 for detecting the current door position on the basis of driving wheel revolutions, etc., and a judgment means 9 which determines that the driving wheel 4a has slipped if differences between the door positions detected by the standard and reference door position detectors have exceeded a fixed amount.
