Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a porous inkjet recording sheet in which a reticular streak failure of a coating film resulting from the shrinkage of the coating film in drying process is reduced, in applying a porous ink absorbing layer on a non-water-absorbing support. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a porous ink-jet recording sheet is accomplishable by applying a water base coating composition, which contains at least inorganic fine particles and polyvinyl-alcohol, substantially no gelatin onto a non-water-absorbing substrate and drying that coating. In water base coating composition, a wet film thickness H (μm) and a dry film thickness D (μm) satisfy formula: H/D=3.5 to 4.2, wherein the density of the inorganic fine particles in the water base coating composition is not less than 12 mass%, and the viscosity under 40°C is 0.050 to 1.000 Pa s.
