Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction catalyst with excellent practical use capable of efficiently reducing (or reducing/removing) nitrogen oxide in a gas to be treated (diesel engine exhaust gas, and the like) with high reduction performance and maintaining high catalytic activity even if it is used over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The catalyst is constituted of a carrier constituted of at least one kind of metal selected from group VI metals in the periodic table (molybdenum, and the like), group XIV metals in the periodic table (tin, and the like) and group XV metals in the periodic table (bismuth, and the like); and a catalytic active substance carried on the carrier and constituted by a metal of group XI metals in the periodic table. The carrier may be constituted by at least bismuth and the catalytic active substance may be constituted by at least silver. A ratio of the catalytic active substance is approximately 0.1-50 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the carrier. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
