METHOD FOR REGULATING IMAGE-RECORDING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regulating an image recording device for accurately correcting skew of a recording material. SOLUTION: A printer processor outputs two test prints 61 recording a test pattern, formed on eight parallel straight lines 62a-65b in the main scanning direction and the sub-scanning direction of an exposure part on two photosensitive materials different in length. An operator measures measuring parts LA-LF of the test prints 61 by using a measuring instrument. A system controller detects the skew characteristics of the photosensitive material, by acquiring the measured values, displacement of a recording start position in the main scanning direction and the sub-scanning direction and unevenness of image length of the sub-scanning direction by the input operation of the operator, and corrects the skew of the photosensitive material by controlling a skew correction part 8 and the exposure part 9, the recording start position of the main scanning direction and the sub-scanning direction and image length of the sub-scanning direction.
