Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing high purity caprolactum at a low cost and with good efficiency which prevents formation of an emulsion to inhibit the lowering of extraction efficiency in extracting crude caprolactam containing insolubles with an organic solvent. SOLUTION: In extracting caprolactam from a solution containing molten crude caprolactam before extraction and water, caprolactam is extracted with an organic solvent in the presence of a surface active agent containing 5-50 wt.%, based on the insolubles present in the crude caprolactam aqueous solution before extraction, phosphate.
