Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home agent duplication method without the need for adding expensive hardware and expensive software and without cost increase and to provide an apparatus thereof. SOLUTION: In the home agent duplication method wherein a home agent including an address correspondence storage means for storing correspondence between a care-of-address and a home address of a mobile terminal and a transfer means for capsulating an IP packet transferred while being addressed to the home address of the mobile terminal into the care-of-address and transferring the IP packet is duplicated in an active system and a standby system, the standby system stores the same home agent address as that of the active system home agent and the standby system home agent receives a position registration request from the mobile terminal to the active system home agent.
