Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a display device which allows non-luminescence defects of respective organic EL elements to be reduced in a low-driving voltage state and has a long luminescence lifetime and is superior in productivity, and to provide the display device. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the display device having a pixel area A, wherein a plurality of pixels having organic layers held between lower electrodes 16 and upper electrodes are arrayed on a substrate 11 comprises; a first step of forming a first insulating film 14 on the substrate 11; a second step of forming a plurality of lower electrodes 16 corresponding to respective pixels on the first insulating film 14 within the pixel area A, forming a conductive film 31 on the first insulating film 14 in a peripheral area B on the outside of the pixel area A, and forming hole parts extending to the first insulating film 14, in the conductive film 31; and a third step of baking the substrate 11 having the lower electrodes 16 and the conductive film 31 formed thereon.
