Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope capable of performing a focus movement and an appropriate aberration correction for a plurality of objective lenses different in magnification. SOLUTION: A microscope 100 is provided with an objective lens 110, a luminous flux diameter control section 120, a wave front modulator 130 and an imaging lens 140. The imaging lens 140 and the objective lens 110 are working together to constitute of an image forming optical system. The wave front modulator 130 is arranged in the optical path between the objective lens 110 and the imaging lens 140. The luminous flux diameter control section 120 is arranged in the optical path between the objective lens 110 and the wave front modulator 130. The luminous flux diameter control section 120 is used to change the diameter of the luminous flux from the objective lens 110 into a luminous flux having an approximately constant diameter regardless of the magnification of the objective lens 110 or it is to be more desirable that the diameter of the luminous flux from the objective lens 110 is changed to a luminous flux diameter that is approximately equal to the optically effective diameter of the wave front modulator 130.
