Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam-molded product having light weight, properties (flexibility, cushioning activity and the like) almost equal to foamed polyethylene and secondary processability, and reduced environmental loading because of its biodegradability. SOLUTION: Polylactic acid resin having an optical molar ratio of L isomer/D isomer of 5/95 to 95/5 is bead-foamed, then subjected to dry heat treatment to obtain foamed particles with an expansion ratio of more than 45 times. Then, the particles are molded to give formed bodies having bulk density of less than 0.030 g/cm3and flexibility, namely softness and high cushioning properties almost equal to those of foamed polyethylene.
