INK COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink composition that actualizes excellent printing qualities on plain paper in an inkjet recording method, especially secures high print density and edge sharpness and has extremely slight printing unevenness. SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises at least resin-dispersion type pigment, a compound represented by formula (1) (R1-R7 are each independently a 1-6C alkyl group; j and k are each independently an integer of ≥1; EO is an ethyleneoxy group; PO is a propyleneoxy group; l, m and n are each an integer of ≥0 and m+n is an integer of ≥1; EO and PO each may be random or block irrespective of their order in [ ]), a compound represented by formula (2) (m+n is ≥0 and ≤50; R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently an alkyl group (preferably a 1-6C alkyl group)), 1,2-octanediol and water.
