METHOD OF MANUFACTURING GLASS WARE WITH DECORATED BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a glass ware with decorated body in which distortion around the decorated body is suppressed to the minimum without necessitating large-scaled equipment. SOLUTION: The glass ware 10 having ≥350 °C surface temperature just after forming is held so as to be erected or inverted, a small gob 11 is projected on the side surface and a pattern is carved on the surface of the gob by lightly pressing with a form 28 as the surroundings of the gob is opened before the gob 11 flows down. Crack or distortion does not occur because the high temperature gob 11 is stuck on the high temperature glass ware 10. A large-scaled conveyer is also dispensed with because it is not necessary to lay laterally down the glass ware. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
