Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition for pressure-sensitive copying paper containing a microcapsule which can provide a pressure-sensitive copying paper with surface strength and color developing performance well balanced. SOLUTION: This coating composition for pressure-sensitive copying paper contains the microcapsule encapsulating an organic solvent solution of a developer, and a polymer latex binder. The polymer latex binder contains a polymer which is obtained by polymerizing a monomer under the existence of a water-soluble polymer compound containing an alcoholic hydroxy group in an aqueous medium.
