APPARATUS FOR WASHING OUTER SURFACE OF BUILDING WINDOWPANES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for washing the outer surface of windowpanes, which device is constituted to wash the windowpanes surely up to transoms and prevent the dripping of water as well by preventing the separation of a wiper blade from the surface of the windowpanes in areas adjacent to crosspieces (the transoms and mullions) while the former moves on the latter. SOLUTION: Wiper blades (14) are mounted to a wiper housing (12) such that their center planes W, which are orthogonal to the glass plates (2) of the wiper blades (14), are separated by an appropriate distance (d) from a plane P, which passes through the central axis of a guide roller (56) and is orthogonal to the glass plates (2), so that the guide roller (56) does not contact the transoms or the mullions until a wiper blade (14) runs on the transoms (5) or the mullions (4) when a carriage mechanism (19) is moved.
