Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with screen freezing in receiving digital broadcast. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast is received by an antenna 10 and a tuner 11, and the digital broadcast is demodulated, sorted and decoded. After that, the genre of the broadcast contents is specified by a genre specifying section 31, and a freezing start threshold and a freezing end threshold are set from the specified genre. A freezing processor 32 determines the start and end of freezing processing by using the freezing start threshold and the freezing end threshold.
