CLEANING TOOL FOR OPTICAL CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning tool for an optical connector that can reduce insertion loss through sure cleaning of the side face and connecting end face of a ferrule and has a simple structure, the small number of parts and inexpensive and easily usable characteristics. SOLUTION: The cleaning tool 67 for the optical connector is constituted of a cleaner 60 and a holding member 22 for holding the cleaner 60. The cleaning tool 67 is constituted of a main body 61 having a recess 64 for inserting a ferrule of an optical connector into its one end and a cleaning cloth 62 arranged in the recess 64 of the main body 61. The cleaning cloth 62 is rectangularly formed by extra fine fibers, its center part is pressed into the recess 64 to form a U-shaped bent part 63 and both ends 65 are fixed to the outer periphery of the main body 61.
