PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor which can improve the efficiency by changing the current flowing to a coil, according to the position of the coil to a magnetic pole, thereby utilizing power effectively. SOLUTION: This DC motor is equipped with a plurality of coils which are provided on the side of an armature and are arranged to straddle magnetic poles and both whose terminals are connected to adjacent segments and whose phases are slid by a certain angle from one another, and a commutator which is provided on the side of the armature and comprises a plurality of segments to which each coil is connected. This is equipped with a plurality of power sources which supply power to each of two or more brushes which are provided in every magnetic pole concerned, corresponding to two or more brushes that are provided three or more pieces for every magnetic pole. A coil A which passes the vicinity of the center in the circumferential direction of the same magnetic pole is supplied with larger power than a coil B which passes the vicinity of the end in the circumferential direction of the magnetic pole.
