Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damper capable of realizing a structure of large piston rod diameter regardless of a small cylinder inner diameter. SOLUTION: In this vibration damper including the cylinder, and the piston rod axially movably guided in the cylinder, the piston rod is provided with a fixed first piston, and a second piston provided with at least one valve disc preloaded by a spring device, and axially slidable against spring force, the cylinder has a piston rod-side working space, a working space at a side separating from the piston rod, and a working space between both pistons, and the connection of these working spaces is controlled by a passage opening part with a valve.
