Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for volume reduction of a styrene foam which permits volume reduction of the styrene foam almost without applying heat or other energies and repeated use of all of the solvents and water used for volume reduction, and a manufacturing method for a reclaimed styrene resin using a gel-like substance of the styrene resin obtained by the method for volume reduction. SOLUTION: The styrene foam is contacted with methyl ethyl ketone to form a styrene resin solution. Water is added to the styrene resin solution to cause the gel-like substance of the styrene resin to deposit. The gel-like substance is separated from the mixed solvent composed of methyl ethyl ketone and water. After the mixed solvent is separated into two layers of a layer comprising methyl ethyl ketone and a layer comprising water, water is recovered, filtered and reused. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
