Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen production method and a hydrogen production apparatus by which hydrogen can be produced in a high yield from hydrocarbons including C2 hydrocarbon in which the number of carbons is ≥2, and by which thermal efficiency is improved. SOLUTION: The hydrogen production method in which vaporized kerosene (hydrocarbons) including C2 hydrocarbon in which the number of carbons is ≥2 is reacted with steam in the presence of a reforming catalyst to produce hydrogen by a steam reforming reaction comprises a first step of lowering the concentration of the C2 hydrocarbon by reacting the C2 hydrocarbon with steam as well as of generating hydrogen by reacting the vaporized kerosene with steam at S/C≤4 and 300-550°C; and a second step of obtaining high purity hydrogen by separating generated hydrogen and the hydrogen generated in the first step with a hydrogen permeable membrane 6 while generating hydrogen by reacting unreacted hydrocarbon components in the vaporized kerosene with steam at 500-700°C.
