Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase energy absorbing amount by the break and deformation of a side sill and restrain invasion into a cabin at side collision. SOLUTION: When a collision load F is inputted between floor cross members 5, 6 from the side of the side sill, the side sill 1 is broken and deformed into a trapezoidal shape when viewed from the top by the presence of a shape retainable reinforcing member 7 to increase break points, which increases energy absorbing amount and minimizes the invasion amount into the cabin side.
