GARBAGE CRUSHER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage crusher which supports a lid body so as to enable the inflow rate of water flowing into a water-passing gap to be maintained constant, thereby forming a proper water seal and effectively suppressing crushing sound. SOLUTION: In the garbage crusher, a sink-side socket cylinder 2 fixed to a sink 1 is connected to a main-body-side socket cylinder 4 with a joint ring 5; tapered step sections 42 in a projected state are formed on the inner surface of the main-body-side socket cylinder; vertical-reinforcement projected spacers 34 are formed on the outer peripheral surface of a lid body 3; and gradient step sections 31 are formed at the upper end of the vertical-reinforcement projected spacers. When the lid body is inserted, the gradient step sections of the vertical linear projected spacers are supported by the port edge part 20a of a garbage charging port 20; thus, the width of an inflow port S1 of the water-passing gap S is kept constant and the lower end of the lid body is positioned so as not to contact with but so as to be in the vicinity of the tapered step section.
